Tilt n' Turn Windows Tilt n' turn windows hail from the continent, where opening-in windows are favoured rather than the traditional British open-out casement.
However, tilt n' turns are becoming increasingly popular in the UK, for refurbishment, new-build, and conservatories alike.
The window allows the opening vent to tilt inwards for ventilation, without opening fully. Close the window and turn the handle and the window will then open fully inwards on a hinge on the left or right hand side. NEW for 2009 is the introduction of concealed gearing across both the 58mm and 70mm systems, improving the aesthetics and operation of the window.
The versatility of this product is part of its attraction, and it also enables the window to be used as a fire escape if the opening vent is large enough.
Glazerite manufacture tilt n' turn windows in both the 58mm and 70mm systems, in standard and specialist colours. The concealed hardware and locking system is supplied by Roto to ensure security and long-term performance. |
