Fresh from another successful FIT Show Jason Thompson, Director at The Glazerite UK Group Ltd, takes time to reflect on what has been most effective in helping the company to cement their name as one of the most comprehensive door and window fabricators in the business:

“The FIT Show is the industry’s key event so always gives us a great platform to reach out to potential trade partners and show what we have to offer. This year was no exception and we got the opportunity to network with lots of great people, including many of our existing partners.”

“Being able to provide these trade partners with such an extensive choice, and the flexibility that comes with that, is definitely one of Glazerite’s strengths,” said Jason. “Offering installers names such VEKA, Solidor, Residence and Palladio, to name just a few, all from one place goes a long way towards making their job easier and more efficient.”

Some of the best examples of the seven profile systems that Glazerite work with were showcased by Jason and his team at the show, including the mechanically jointed VEKA VS, flush sash from Halo, and a selection from the premium R9 range, all displaying the level of quality that the company offers its customers.

“We have already established a good base of quality products for installers to choose from but we are always looking for the next way to further expand and improve our offering to help them remain competitive,” Jason continued. “In the lead up to the show we were delighted to agree an exclusive partnership with acclaimed flood defence manufacturer Flood Angel which means Glazerite installers can now take advantage of membership to an exclusive retail partner network authorised to market these products throughout the UK. It was great to see so many take the opportunity to talk to the Flood Angel representatives and view the flood door example that we had on the stand.

“However, it’s not just about the products, but also the enhanced benefits we can offer our trade partners. Glazerite launches sales support suite for heritage range
The Glazerite UK Group Ltd has launched its Heritage Range brochure and an accompanying suite of marketing materials for installers looking to showcase the range to customers.  With something for every budget, the Heritage Range brings together a host of alternatives to high-maintenance timber, including flush sash and vertical slider windows. With developments in energy efficiency, security and the aesthetics, colours and finishes of windows, doors and hardware, homeowners are increasingly seeing the benefits of using virtually maintenance-free uPVC over wood.  The 24-page brochure showcases Glazerite's complete range of heritage-style systems designed to restore or add traditional character to homes, from leading brands including The Residence Collection, Halo and VEKA.  As part of its ongoing aim to support installers, Glazerite has also launched a range of accompanying sales support material which can be tailored with the installer's own branding and company details. The marketing materials include dropcards, banner stands and posters as well as counter display units designed to increase customers' awareness of the Heritage Range.  Michelle Wright, Glazerite's Group Marketing Manager, explains: "Thanks to developments in product aesthetics and the virtually maintenance-free benefits of uPVC, homeowners are increasingly seeing its value for use in period property installations. Our brochure encapsulates the complete range in one collection in order to support installers when they're in front of customers. Glazerite adds three new faces to Sales & Marketing team
The Glazerite UK Group Ltd is looking to better serve the needs of its growing installer base with a number of new appointments to its sales and marketing team. Katie Sampson joins the Wellingborough-based fabricator this month as Area Sales Manager, with responsibility for customers across the South East and the Midlands. Reporting directly into Glazerite’s Group Sales & Marketing Director, Jeff Dunn, Katie says: “I can’t wait to get started and to meet my customers. I’ve worked with Glazerite before when I was at Network VEKA (now Independent Network) and have watched them grow from afar. I really like their customer-focused ethos and I’m delighted to be joining them.” Jeff adds: “Katie’s appointment comes at an exciting time for Glazerite and our customers. She has proven industry experience, including installer support and trade counter positions with some leading industry brands. She also has a thorough knowledge of the portfolio, from VEKA/Halo products right through to doors, hardware and roofing systems, and brings with her energy, a proven work ethic and a great understanding of customer service.” Katie joins Glazerite from a Sales Manager role at Ultraframe and has previously worked in customer-focused roles with VEKA and SIG plc. As part of its sales and marketing team’s transformation, Glazerite has also recently appointed Jeff Dunn into the newly-created Group Sales and Marketing Director role, and last year recruited Lauren Edwards as Digital Marketing Coordinator. Jason Thompson, Managing Director, explains: “As part of our aim to help installers become best-in-class, we wanted to bolster the support we can give to our customers, including digital marketing support. Lauren’s expertise means we can provide tailored website content, social media management and search engine optimisation to help our installers attract new customers.” Lauren has already made an impact, with the news she has been shortlisted for ‘Social Networker’ at this year’s National Fenestration Awards. Meanwhile, Jeff Dunn is settling into his new role at the fabricator and is looking ahead to the benefits a growing team can bring for customers. “It’s a great time for Katie to be joining our team. We’re looking forward to getting out and about seeing customers and continuing to deliver the exceptional service they expect from us.”

Glazerite shortlisted for prestigious G18 Award
The Glazerite UK Group Ltd has been nominated for ‘Fabricator of the Year’ at this year’s G Awards, which take place in London on 30th November 2018.  The news follows Glazerite’s success last year in the same category, when they were crowned winners.  Director, Jason Thompson, says of the nomination: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted once again for this coveted award. Our teams have worked harder than ever across all four of our sites this year, building on the success of the G17 awards in a number of ways. We’ve extended our product range, invested in manufacturing and strengthened our installer-support team as we continue with our aim to help our customers become best-in-class.   “Like everyone across the industry, we’ve faced tough trading conditions and it’s not all been plain sailing. We’re extremely grateful to our customers and suppliers for the loyalty and support they’ve continued to show us and we’re thrilled to see that some of them, like Thistle Windows and VEKA, are up for awards themselves. We wish them, and the rest of this year’s finalists, all the best.”  2018 has seen Glazerite strengthen its heritage range with the addition of the Residence 7 FlushSash product and a mechanical jointed version of their VEKA Vertical Slider. The portfolio has also been enhanced with a range of new composite doors from Halo and Solidor, as well as an increased choice of colours.  Wellingborough-based Glazerite has also appointed a digital marketing specialist, Lauren Edwards, in order to specifically support installers with their online ambitions. Lauren works closely with customers looking to increase awareness by using tailored techniques such as search engine optimisation, mobile-friendly websites and an enhanced social media presence. Jason adds: “As well as our people, we’ve also continued to invest in our vehicle fleet and our manufacturing sites, with new machinery and expansion planned for our Bolton site for example.   “I’d like to thank all of the team here at Glazerite for the exceptional customer service they deliver, day in, day out and I know we are all thrilled to have been recognised again this year. We’re up against some strong competition, but whatever happens, we know we’ll have a fantastic evening.”
