The Glazerite UK Group Limited continued its annual tradition by celebrating its 9th consecutive Race Day, this year held at Wolverhampton Racecourse.
Taking place Friday August 19th, this year’s Race Day hit the maximum capacity of the hospitality suite with 160 customers and staff in attendance. Horrendous traffic all day had the potential to throw a spanner in the works as customers from as far as Kent, Cornwall or even Aberdeen battled the gridlocked roads. Managing to make it through, they were all smiles - and very thirsty - once they made it to the venue and were able to tuck into a tasty four course meal and all-inclusive bar, with the final bar tab total breaking all previous records.
“It was a really good night, I might even say it was the best one so far” said Gary Copp, Managing Director of Goldseal Conservatories Ltd. Fred Doodey, owner of Ecologic Windows, added: “We thought the whole event was a great success from start to finish. It was lovely to see old friends and make some new ones.”
Glazerite shared sponsorship duties with Cannock-based customer Goliath Homeworld Ltd, Network VEKA, and Qatar Airways. Once the racing was finished there was a private disco in Glazerite’s suite, as well as a Jersey Boys tribute act, and the party continued until the early hours of the morning at the hotel bars.
Glazerite’s nominated charity on the night was one designed to help a family in need, namely Bethan and Dave Germon, whose seven-month-old daughter Lydia has had 10 neurosurgical operations meningitis and sepsis, after being born with Dandy Walker variant - a congenital brain malformation.
The Glazerite UK Group Limited is VEKA’s largest trade fabricator in the UK and a long-standing Network VEKA member. Glazerite offers a fully nationwide service based on manufacturing units in Northants, Peterborough and Greater Manchester as well as its South West distribution hub in Bristol serving South Wales and The West of England.
