Having lots of different products to offer your end customer is one thing; sharing that in the right way is another. Showcasing your business to potential customers is key and helping our installers increase brand awareness using marketing is an important part of our overall offering.

Our in-house marketing team works with installers in a range of ways, from sharing tips and ideas on how to maximise their marketing in their local market, to supporting with brochures, social media content, and the creation of a tailored website.

It's an offering we've calculated is worth more than £5,000 to those installers currently utilising it and this year we're continuing to invest heavily in resources and tools to further strengthen our marketing support packages.

From products and extended warranties to marketing, our entire offering is designed to help our installers stand out from their competitors.

Working closely with our suppliers means we can continue to deliver a high-quality portfolio and ensure our products continue to hit the spot on the areas that matter to the end customer, from innovation and quality to sustainable materials.

One recent example is our collaboration with Brisant Secure to design and manufacture a patio handle that could seamlessly integrate with existing door furniture, while offering unparalleled weather resistance.

The joint development partnership resulted in the Sweet patio handle; the perfect example of how working together with a key supplier means we can meet the needs of our installers and their own customers.

 

Differentiated support

We tailor our support to suit each individual installer. That could mean technical advice for commercial installers on designs, regulations, and planning requirements to fabricating non-standard jobs, or reflecting changing end customer tastes and trends for those installers focusing on the residential market.

With conditions making it difficult to continue with in-house fabrication, one area we are increasingly supporting is helping fabricator-installer businesses to move to installer-only models. By advising on areas some businesses might not have resources in, such as HR, IT, and marketing, and becoming their fabricator of choice, we help make the transition a smooth process.

New profile system, new location and brand new factory
We set ourselves a huge task when we announced our new manufacturing site in Barnsley at the end of last year. We rose to it though, the empty shell in Barnsley is now a fully functioning Deceuninck fabrication site in just 84 days. Drawing upon the skills and expertise from our functions across the business it has been a real team effort to bring this in from recruitment and IT infrastructure and setup to operations. At the 30,000 sq. ft facility you'll now find a hive of activity, with the manufacture of Deceuninck 2500 and 2800 casements, tilt and turn windows, residential and french doors. The North division, headed up by Darren Rhodes and Darryl Count, is now serving local installer customers with the products, quality and support that our vast customer base across the rest of the UK has come to rely on. We introduced Deceuninck to our range in the summer last year to open up specification and budget options for our installer partners to be able to compete in their markets. Rob McGlennon, Managing Director, Deceuninck has welcomed our partnership and says of our Barnsley site: "We are delighted to be working with Glazerite and it is great to see their Barnsley site now fully operational. Glazerite and Deceuninck share a customer-focused ethos to produce and delivery high-quality products underpinned with exceptional service. Working with DoorCo to support our installers
Our Head of Group Marketing, Michelle Wright shares why our decade-long partnership with DoorCo helps our installers open doors to new business. By partnering with DoorCo, the UK's leading independent manufacturer and supplier of composite doors, we have transformed our customer offering. Today, our installers have access to a huge range of high-quality composites designed to suit every homeowner taste, with DoorCo's latest launches taking the aesthetics and performance of the range to the next level. "As a partner, DoorCo is flexible, agile and reactive, quickly repsonding to customer demands and getting ahead of trends." This year, our DoorCo portfolio of traditional and contemporary doors is set to grow further with the addition of new styles, colours and decorative glass options. From the summer, the composite colours available will include nine standard shades, 38 premium hues and the exclusive Patina colours on specific door styles such as the Monza ll, the newly launched and traditionally-styled Eaton and the new contemporary styles of Grove and Kings. With the option also to colour match to any RAL, and a choice of woodgrain or smooth/etched finishes, homeowners will be spoilt for choice. So far this year, the best-selling colours have been the more subtle shades of anthracite, agate grey and slate. However, stand out shades of blue and beginning to trend, with the cool blues of Wedgewood and Cotswold on the rise, along with the brighter blue of Twilight. The quirky Stormy Seas and delicate Dusky Pink are also gaining in popularity. Style-wise, the brand new Eaton is proving popular, while the classic Carnoustie remains a top-seller. DoorCo has also added to its range of decorative glass, including the launch of the distinctive and delicate bevelled heart and flower motif of Blossom and the art-deco inspired Speakeasy, which includes a custom house number design. The partnership we've forged with DoorCo has elevated our offering and gives our installers a huge selection to share with their own customers. Evolving hardware and smart technology offering Alongside our composite offering, we're evolving our furniture and smart technology as well as our standard offering. We are now manufacturing Deceuninck 2800 at our North Division
STOP PRESS: We are now manufacturing Deceuninck 2800 at our North Division From our announcement at the end of last year, we've managed to bring this in within Q1 of 2024. Setting up a site for manufacture is no easy task, but for a brand new site and for a system that is new to the business, this is quite an achievement.  The power of our expert teams have come together across operations, procurement, IT, sales and marketing to make this happen - what a team! This 30,000 sq. ft space has been completely transformed in just a few months to manufacture the 2800 system with a view to start manufacture of 2500 very soon. The 2500 is available through our East Division, which started production in summer last year. Adding to our already extensive portfolio, installers can now access both Deceuninck systems 2500 and 2800 in casement and tilt & turn windows, and residential and French doors.
